Other Approaches
and Methods
There are many approaches and methods that are directly or indirectly used for
the management of resources in organizations. In this chapter, some of the most
commonly used approaches and methods are briey outlined and matched with
the Evolute approach. The list of approaches and methods in this chapter is not
comprehensive.
Resource-based view (RBV) refers to the viewpoint that the competitive advan-
tage of an organization is based on the intangible and tangible resources it has or
