Preface
This book is an assemblage of four books from different authors on topics from linear
and switching power supply design. The book covers a wide range of different aspects of
power supply design with differing perspectives from these authors; all this combines to
provide a more rounded view of the power fi eld.
There are many different stories as to how the designers in the fi eld came to be “ power
supply engineers.” For me it was quite by accident. I had been an engineer for 5 years,
