We will design a “ true sine wave ” uninterruptible power supply in this chapter. “ True
sine wave ” for our design means 20% or less total harmonic distortion. This product is
intended to give instant crossover from line power to battery power and provide power
for devices that require sine wave operation. The description in this chapter is intended
to show the iterative nature of designing a complicated switching system, so you will see
