6.3 NETWORK CLASSIFICATION
There are several neural-network learning models that support the process
of knowledge discovery from a database. These models can be distinguished
as supervised learning or unsupervised learning. An unsupervised learning
process requires no examples of desired output. In this model, rules can be
produced from the relationships among the attributes. Supervised learning
requires that examples of desired output be specified, from which rules are
generated. If the value of an output node does not match the desired output,
the weights are adjusted to obtain the desired
