Adding color

Your drawing does not have to be a completely black-and-white drawing; you can add colors to your drawing to make different objects look distinct. For example, in a floor plan drawing, you can make dimensions green, the walls blue, the doors and windows red, and interior objects cyan. The colors can be added to the objects directly or you can also add colors to the layers, which we will learn about later in this chapter.

To explain this, I will use this simple drawing of an office area:
