When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding creases to smoothed objects
As shown in Using the smooth object command section, the mesh object can be created with a certain degree of smoothness, or the smoothness of an existing mesh body can be increased and decreased. You may arrive at a situation where you don't want the whole body to be smoothed, or you want some of the edges and the faces of the body to remain sharp and flat. This can be done using the Add Crease tool. The Add Crease tool button can be found in the Edit panel on the Home tab in the 3D Basics workspace, or in the Mesh panel on the Mesh tab in the 3D Modeling workspace, as shown in the following screenshot:
