It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

カスタムのボックスを作成する理由はいくつもあります。主な理由としては、実働
環境の環境と一致するボックスを使いたいということがあるでしょう。そのため、実
働環境では

上で動作するアプリケーションを開発しているなら、開発環境
でも
FreeBSD
を使いたいはずです。
加えて、場合によってはインストールに数時間かかることもあるような、非常に複
雑なソフトウェアの依存関係を持つ組織の場合、それらのソフトウエアを事前にイン
ストールしたボックスを「焼き込み済み」で持っておきたいということもあるでしょ
