よくある勘違いは、ボックスにパッケージ化された Vagrantfileが、
そのボックスを対象とする
vagrant init
が呼ばれた際に生成される
Vagrantfile となる、というものです。
そうではありません。
実際には、Vagrant がそのボックスを使うように設定されたとき、ボック
ス内にパッケージ化された Vagrantfile は、ロードされた上でプロジェク
トの Vagrantfile とマージされるのです。
