I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The higher some leaders move in an organization, the more they think they need to be the smartest person in the room. They believe showing off their brilliance will earn the trust and admiration of their people.
It doesn’t matter how intelligent or charismatic you are as a leader—if your people don’t think you have their best interests in mind and truly care for them, they won’t give you their trust, loyalty, and best efforts. Demonstrating care and concern for others is the quickest and easiest way to build trust.
