Acommon fallacy is that leaders should know all the answers. Because too many leaders believe this is true, they are afraid to admit their mistakes. They think owning up to a mistake means admitting failure, which makes them look weak in front of their team. In reality, admitting mistakes is one of the most powerful ways a leader can build trust. When your team sees you own up to your behavior, they see a leader who is genuine, honest, and authentic. They see a leader who is able to set aside their ego for the betterment of the team.
