Wireless LAN products conforming to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 standard wireless LAN protocol are sold as PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) cards or CardBus cards for network laptop computers throughout a facility.
