When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Future
We have seen how easy it is to install and operate a SOHO LAN. What will the future bring? Sharing computer resources and Internet access in today's home is as important as everyone in today's home having his or her own PC or PCs. With PCs that can surf the Web dropping in price to around $500, who wants to share his or her PC with anyone? Kids need them for school. We can now use voice-to-text software to control our PCs. In the next several years this will become a standard PC feature. Since such voice recognition works best for individuals, and training of the PC is necessary to have voice recognition work most effectively, everyone will want his or her own non-shared PC. Then sharing information and Internet access via a SOHO LAN ...
