Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton are brilliant people who played Archie and Edith Bunker on TV's All in the Family, a '70s sitcom. Each played ignorance in a special way. But to know all the intricacies of ignorance, a high level of knowledge is required. How would one know what is stupid unless one were smart enough to understand the difference?
