I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Manual Network Transfers
As you may have guessed from the paragraphs above, Macs and PCs can “see” each other on a network (wired or wireless). Seated at the Mac, you can open or copy files from any folders you’ve shared on a PC. In fact, you can go in the other direction, too: Your old PC can see shared folders on your Mac.
Chapter 14 offers a crash course in setting up a network. When it’s all over, you’ll be seated at the Mac, looking at the contents of your Windows PC in a separate window. At that point, you can drag whatever files and folders you want directly to the proper places on the Mac, as described on Transfers by Email.
