So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 2. Folders, Dock & Windows
These days, the graphic user interface (icons, windows, Trash can) is standard. Mac, Windows, Chrome OS, Android, iOS—every operating system is fundamentally the same, which is to say a very long way from the lines of typed commands that defined the earliest computers.
That’s not to say that the Mac’s graphic interface is exactly like what you’re used to in Windows, though. Herewith: a grand tour of the state of the art in computer desktops—the one in El Capitan.
