How to do it...

Carry out the following steps:

1. On the server where you need to configure the firewall exceptions, click on Server Manager from the Start menu. Next, click on Tools, and then click on Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
2. In the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security on Local Computer pane, click on Inbound Rules.
3. In the Actions pane, under Inbound Rules, click on New Rule.
4. In the New Inbound Rule Wizard window, under Rule Type, click on Port, and then click on Next:

5. In Protocol and Ports, click on TCP.
6. Click on Specific local ports and type the port number (for example, 8100); then click on Next.
