You can program beautiful slow zooms or rapid moves in on a portion of the
image. Beware with the Ken Burns effect in Final Cut Pro X that the start point
is always the beginning of the shot and the end point is the end of the shot.
Therefore, if you need greater control, such as having a static image to begin with
and to then zoom in on the image—then manual key framing would be a way to
achieve this result.
Note: the controls top left of the
viewer enable you to reverse the start
and end points, which will reverse the
effect. You can therefore toggle the
effect in either direction. The second
button is to play the effect.
