1 Click the drop-down View menu, top right of the Viewer.
2 Select Better Quality or Better Performance.
In an ideal world one would always work with Better Quality set, however,
depending on the processing power of your Mac, the drives you are using, the
amount of memory and which graphics card is installed in the machine—all these
factors affect the ability of the system to play back the video content smoothly.
Beyond these factors, and of huge importance, is the codec you are working
with. Final Cut Pro X will work with many different codecs natively, including:
