Chapter 27. Symbols

In this chapter you’ll learn how to work with symbols—Illustrator objects that are stored on the Symbols palette and can be placed in any document. You’ll learn how to place symbol instances into a document, either by dragging or by using the Symbol Sprayer tool; edit those instances using the Symbol Shifter, Scruncher, Sizer, Spinner, Stainer, Screener, and Styler tools; and use the Symbols palette to create, rename, duplicate, edit, and delete symbols.
