I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Saying ‘My door is always open’ might seem like a quick fix for managers feeling that they can deal with issues among their team members, but it’s not always that simple. A troubling incident in the Netherlands saw 25 employees speaking out against a manager for bullying and creating an unsafe work environment. They all referred to it as a ‘culture of fear’. The management’s response was upsetting for some people. They emphasized that without people telling others about the culture of fear, things couldn’t be resolved and that there would have been possibilities and procedures to address the behaviour at an earlier stage so things could have been prevented.
