I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Delivering effective and efficient presentations
Before we end this chapter, I want to provide you a set of pointers for delivering presentations successfully. Delivery of presentations is a huge topic by itself. So, the list I am about to provide may not be comprehensive, but it is sufficient for you to get started on the road to becoming a great presenter. Some of them may be repeats from earlier in the book and the chapter:
- Practice delivering in front of a mirror if you can. Do a full rehearsal at least once and multiple rehearsals of parts that are difficult.
- If you are able to get access to the room where you would be rehearsing beforehand, get to it and imagine an audience while you rehearse.
