Nordic countries,
Denmark has been
under the spotlight in
the world of design for
a long time, and that
includes fashion design.
An example of Danish
talent is Rikkemai,
based in Copenhagen.
In 2008 she received
the Alt for Damerne
magazine Guldknappen
(Golden Button)
award for Best Danish
Designer of the Year.
Her clothes combine
urban looks with boho,
chic, vintage, and
loads of style. Before
starting each collection,
Rikkemai travels to a
different place in the
world where she nds
inspiration and collects
unique fabrics, one of
the features of the label.
One example of how she
makes use of them is the
fabulous scarves from
her highly successful
F/W 09 collection,
“Stories by Rikkemai.”
