Recruiting a solid nonprofit board and enlisting their support in truly helpful ways can often feel daunting and complex. Effective boards are the backbone of many successful nonprofits and can mean the difference between stagnation and significant impact for your organization. The mantra for board engagement is “low touch, high value.” Anything you can do to clearly set and manage expectations—and in general to help board members help you—will enable you to get what you need from your directors. AI can help, whether it's ensuring an intentional approach to recruitment; running more efficient, productive board meetings, offsites, and retreats; or even just automating the time-consuming task of taking minutes and highlighting next steps and takeaways, the opportunities are endless. And it's not just for synthesizing information; you can use AI to inspire and frame new ideas and strategies, including crafting or updating a compelling mission and vision statement. AI can also be used as a strategic partner and help with analyzing future trends that might uncover new opportunities.
