Creating an ASE

You can create an Azure ASE from the Azure Portal by taking the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Azure Portal by opening https://portal.azure.com/.
2. Click on New and type App Service Environment in the search bar. Click the Create button.
3. A new blade opens up, where you can fill in the basic settings of the VM. Add the following:
   • Name: PacktASE
   • Subscription: Select a subscription here
   • Resource Group: PacktPubASE
   • Virtual Network/Location: Azure will automatically create a new virtual network for you. If you want to pick an existing one, you can change the settings by clicking the link.
