There are multiple ways to register or manage a device in the IoT Hub, right from the command-line tool to the device explorer tool for the IoT Hub. The Windows IoT core dashboard can also be used to register a new device or manage existing ones. We used the IoT Hub SDK in Chapter 2, Introducing Device Management, to create or manage an IoT device.
The unique device ID stored in the identity registry is case sensitive.
