How it works...

The solution once deployed in your Azure subscription, can be set to start the simulator device to send the telemetry data. Once the data infestation is started, the data flows through the stream analytics and the event hubs and gets processed and stored into the database.

The dashboard view shown as follows:

The devices section lists all the devices which are a part of this solution and can be managed. We can update their properties or statuses from this area. Another area rule defines the different thresholds based on which the Azure Stream Analytics (ASA) job acts and raises alarms.
