It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

性に合わせて赤池涼子さんの編集で出版するのは非常に喜ばしい。
『Cクイックリファレンス第2版』は新しいISO/IEC 9899:2011 C標準、仲間うちではC11
と呼ばれる、を初めて取り入れた。配列境界やメモリブロックをセキュアに使う関数、単
一プログラムで複数スレッド間の同期や通信をする関数などを含めて、この最新のC 標準
は産業界が長らく望んでいた実用的な機能を提供している。
高信頼性ソフトウェアへの要望が強いことから、オライリー・ジャパンは日本語版にお
いて ISO/IEC C標準だけでなく、独立行政法人情報処理推進機構ソフトウェア高信頼化
センター（IPA/SEC）が発行した「組込みソフトウェア開発向けコーディング作法ガイド」
（ESCR）も反映することを決定した。その結果、翻訳者の黒川利明、技術監修者
の島敏博
両氏は、本文と例題を私たちと連絡を取りながら細かくチェックしてくれた。頻繁に行わ
れた有用な連絡から見ても、この翻訳版が元の英語版よりも優れているのは間違いないと
確信している。
