Comic books are more than storyboards. Unfortunately, in today’s media-making world, comics are viewed as something worse than storyboards; they are viewed as stepping stones, a niche medium to be mined for ideas that are then transferred to a medium with a wider audience for a bigger payday.

This “hunt/gather/adapt” train of thought has also moved into screenwriting discussions.
