A film script is an easy thing only in that there’s a very strict, set format to follow. Tabs, indentations, dialog, all that, is laid out clearly and concisely. With a comics script, however, it’s completely open.
The first thing you have to ask yourself is, “Is the script clear enough for the artist?” It doesn’t matter how you format the script, it only matters if it’s clear enough so that the artist can work their magic to bring it to life. Remember, in visual storytelling, a script is only a blueprint, a communication device for the team building the final structure that is open to interpretation and should inspire creative collaboration.
