I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Booting Wandboard from the SD card
After the build process is over, the image will be available inside the build/tmp/deploy/images/wandboard/ directory. There are many files, but NXP ARM BSP generates a ready-to-use SD card image.
The file we want to use is core-image-sato-wandboard.wic.gz.
Make sure you point to the right device and double check to not write in your hard disk.
In order to copy the core-image-sato image to the SD card, we should use the dd utility, as follows:
$ gunzip core-image-sato-wandboard.wic.gz$ sudo dd if=core-image-sato-wandboard.wic of=/dev/sdX bs=1M
After copying the content to the SD card, insert it into the SD card slot, connect the HDMI cable, and power on the machine. It should boot nicely.
