So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Providing compilation scripts and source code modifications
With the configuration provided in the previous section, Poky will package the original source code for each project. In case we want to include the patched source code, we will only use ARCHIVER_MODE[src] = "patched"; this way, Poky will wrap the project source code after the do_patch task. It includes modifications from recipes or the bbappend file.
This way, the source code and any modification can be shared easily. However, there is still one kind of information that has not been created so far: the procedure used to configure and build the project.
