Oxidation of chlorophenols by permanganate

ABSTRACT: The oxidation of three kinds of chlorophenols, 4-chlorophenol (4-CP), 2,4-dichlorophenol
(2,4-DCP) and 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (2,4,6-TCP) by permanganate were studied in the present study.
Results show that the removal rates of these chlorophenols were increased with the increase of perman-
ganate doses or system temperatures. The order of the removal rates of these compounds is 2,4,6-TCP >
