optimization can effectively inhibit the genera-
tion of speed fluctuation, and enhance the system
damping.
4 CONCLUSIONS
The negative damping mechanism of power system
low frequency oscillation is proposed in this paper,
the study focused on identify the low frequency
oscillation modes component of the instantaneous
amplitude, instantaneous frequency and damping
ratio parameters can be provided real-time data
from WAMS by the improved HHT method. And
under the signal mode characteristic, using parti-
cle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the
parameters of the PSS online. Simulation results
show that the controller can effectively inhibit
the low frequency oscillation of power system to
improve the stability.
