Add an Email Widget
As with Gmail, you can add an Email widget to your Home screen, so that you can see incoming email, scroll through it, and create new mail, all from the widget.
Create it the same way you do a Gmail widget. First go to the panel where you want to add the widget. Then tap the + button, and on the bottom half of the screen, tap Widgets. Scroll through the widgets until you come to the Email widget. Tap it, and it flies into the panel.
Now head to that screen, and you see the widget. It displays how many unread messages you’ve got in your Inbox, and shows information about the latest mail (sender, subject line, date and time). You can scroll through your email by dragging or flicking. Tap any email, and you go to the full-blown Email app, with the message open in it. Tap the Create Mail icon
to launch the normal screen you use to create an email message.

There is one slight difference between the Email and Gmail widgets: When you tap the email icon on the upper-left corner of the Email widget, rather than sending you to your email program, it changes the view of mail it shows, from your Inbox, to your unread messages, to your starred messages, and then back again, as you tap.
