In the preceding example, we have seen the usage of the button QML items, which required us to import the QtQuick Controls module. As with Qt Quick, there are two versions of QtQuick Controls; version 1 was introduced with the original Qt 4 QML and tried to reproduce the native look and feel of the buttons, checkboxes, and menus on the given architecture. In Qt 5, this version was deprecated and QtQuick Controls 2 was introduced, which instead provide a platform-independent, mobile-oriented, unified look and feel to the controls. As they do not try to imitate the native looks, the performance of QtQuick Controls 2 is much better that of their predecessor.
