Architecture of the Search Center With Tabs
A Search Center With Tabs, as shown in the following illustration, is built from a number of components that are part of the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 core infrastructure, the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 publishing infrastructure, and the application programming interfaces (APIs) used to communicate with the search engine that is under the control of the Shared Services Provider (SSP) in the server farm. We’ll review each component briefly here and continue with deeper coverage of the configurations and customizations that can be performed by administrators and developers in subsequent sections.
