The Search Administration Object Model

The new search administration object model consists of a great number of classes that are bundled together in the Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.dll and defined in the Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration namespace. This object model can be used to develop custom applications such as console applications, Microsoft PowerShell commandlets, and Windows-based applications. The classes can also be used in custom solution components that can be integrated into SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration or other SharePoint sites to help administrators do a better job in managing the index and search infrastructure.
