It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In Chapter 1, we looked at the variety of ways the iPod can be used above and beyond its original design. But, believe it or not, there are some things even the iPod can’t do. Sometimes, you have to find a third-party device to help you enhance the enjoyment of your music collection. This chapter looks at various non-iPod hardware options. You might already have some of these third-party devices lying around (say, an old Pentium box or an old Mac). Others are projects you can build yourself.
