FilterInputStream
This
class provides method definitions required to filter data obtained
from the InputStream specified when the
FilterInputStream is created. It must be
subclassed to perform some sort of filtering operation and cannot be
instantiated directly. See the subclasses
BufferedInputStream,
DataInputStream, and
PushbackInputStream.
