I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Time for action – loading AngelCode fonts
In your own game project, you will want to use a font that emphasizes your game's atmosphere. The Font Creator plugin makes it easy to create bitmap fonts from system fonts.
- Install a cool font into your system; for example, a free font from http://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/.
- Go to Tools | Plugins, and then go to the Available Plugins tab. Choose the Font Creator plugin and click on Install. Restart the SDK.
- Choose File | New File | GUI | Font from the main menu. The font creator wizard opens.
- Select the free font and click on Next.
- Specify font style and size, and click on Finish. The font is saved into your project's
assets/Interface/Fontsdirectory. - Load
yourCustomFont.fntfrom your project directory ...
