Change the organization

Now that you’re an acolyte of subversiveness, you’ll face your biggest challenge: subverting your own organization. The bigger and more bureaucratic your organization is, the more resistance you’ll face.

While we’re not change management experts, many subversive tactics apply just as well to changing the behavior of your colleagues as they do to upending a market. Reframe your strategy to make it more appealing to management. Use bait and switch to get investors on board, then change your plan and deliver the returns they wanted all along. Access channels and partners your smaller competitors can’t reach. Misappropriate staff and tools, and enlist them to your cause.
