Being a leader is hard work. When you accept a leadership role, you’re being held accountable for your team’s success. This often means getting projects done on time, under budget, and with high quality. It’s a lot of responsibility. In addition to that, you’re also answerable for your team’s culture and for ensuring that anyone who reports to you feels like they belong, can succeed, and can communicate openly and honestly.
