Chapter 3. UI Customization
Now that we understand the main components of the user interface, and the basics of customizing them from a functional perspective, let's learn how to customize the look and feel of our instance and some of the major UI components.
In this chapter, we'll learn about:
- UI15 versus UI16
- Customizing the default theme
- Creating custom themes and branding your instance
- Understanding UI-impacting system properties
- Using custom CSS/SCSS properties
- Creating and branding a Service Portal
UI15 versus UI16
UI15 and UI16 are versions of the overall user interface, not too dissimilar from what we saw in earlier chapters with List v2 and List v3. UI16 is the latest version, and was introduced with the Geneva release of ServiceNow.
