Deployment Made Easier
If you visit the Microsoft public newsgroups for Exchange Server,[1] you'll see an abundance of questions related to installation and deployment. You'll find lots of similar questions at other Exchange-based forums.[2] The questions range in breadth and scope; however, they often have common answers. I hope I was able to convey to you in Chapters 1 and 2 the importance of having a healthy and properly configured Active Directory and DNS infrastructure prior to deploying Exchange. What's clear from the newsgroups and other forums is that although many Exchange administrators know that healthy Active Directory and DNS are needed, it seems that few know how to determine the health and status of them.
