Sales Safety Days

Assuming that you need some time before you deliver the material to the customer for the special packaging and you need one day for the same, as with the Purchase Lead Time you can set the Sales Safety Days globally for all the purchases that are triggered based on the Sales Order. Go to Sales | Configuration | Settings and enter 1 in Sales Safety Days field.

Now the Purchase Order date on will be computed as follows:

    Purchase Order Date = Delivery Date - (Vendor lead        time +      Purchase Lead Time + Sales Safety Days) 
    Schedule Date = Delivery Date - Sales Safety Days 

So, finally it will work as follows:

• The Sales Order confirmed on July 14
• The delivery will be scheduled for 23 July (10 days Customer Lead time - 1 day Sales ...
