It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Create an analytic account and link that analytic account with financial transactions, which are income or expenses for that analytic account. The cost-versus-revenue report will be generated, and we can come to know about profit or loss for that analytic account. We can set the customer-on-customer field on the analytic account to get the profitability by customer. There are various ways of using the analytic account in Odoo.
