Dispelling myths about written examinations

Written examinations in general have developed their own set of myths over the years.

Some may contain a grain of truth but it is important to realise that they mostly do not

apply to the Part 3 examination.

You may have felt this when sitting GCSEs or ‘A’ levels and, indeed, these two sets

of examinations are important gateways to higher education and, in the case of the

architectural student, a professional career, but professional examinations are different.
