The interview varies from any other form of assessment in its dynamic quality: within
certain limits it can go almost anywhere. However, you should be clear about the
hierarchy of questions:
1. Factual: basic knowledge required by the ARB and the RIBA.
2. Omissions and errors: covering perceived gaps in your basic knowledge.
3. Queries in your work: addressing simple misunderstandings and inconsistencies.
4. Reflection: on your experience.
5. Judgement: critical analysis of scenario-based or real problems.
6. The profession: evidence of topical reading and engagement with the post-Part 3
requirements of CPD.
