Inevitably, students want to know what makes a good study and will want to read the

most successful examples, so tutors may use them as part of their teaching material.

University examiners and professional examiners will assess them, external examiners will

sample them for quality assurance and standardisation purposes and the professional

bodies, the RIBA and the ARB, may sample them for validation and prescription

purposes, respectively.

Each project should be considered on its merits. In extreme circumstances names can be

changed. Sensitive data such as fee agreements or project budgets might be omitted. In
