CHAPTER 5 THE ORAL EXAMINATION
You will see that professional examiners must have an interest in the education of young
architectural professionals in order to sustain the effort required to read all the material
required for the interview, to consider the appropriate line and content of questioning and
to arrive at a professional judgement concerning the candidate’s competence to practise.
They are committed to the process. They are experienced – but not necessarily in every
field. They may be experts, but they will mould their questions to the more moderate
requirements of Part 3.
